Comments:

  • I must say that this is a staple in Montreal’s chinatown… we always gravitate towards coming here on those cold Canadian days where we need a little bit of comfort

  • It’s usually packed inside and you can hear the clamour of chopsticks against bowls and chatter all throughout the big dining room

  • When comparing the other Pho restaurants, I will say that the broth here is more fragrant with those beautiful spices like clove and star anise - it’s delicate but has enough fattiness to hold flavour

  • Bun Bo Hue is their special that they serve only on weekends and it comes with a surprising amount of meat; it’s definitely more filling than the standard Pho

  • So far, this is my favourite Pho spot in Montreal (and beats out my Toronto Pho spots as well)

  • They only take cash so keep that in mind for your next visit; sometimes there’s a decent wait outside
