Good, cheap, and cheerful nasi lemak but more elevated than your typical hawker stall. If in this area, check it out for a cool vibe.

Comments:
Better than the general hawker food that you get in Singapore
The texture on the chicken with the crust and ginger was super delectable and the dark meat was quite moist on the inside - I loved having the whole chicken quarter so you could eat around the bones
Sauce was a nice mix with the toasted peanuts and dried anchovies elevating the dish with more umami
The only things I would have loved to see in this dish were more coconut flavours in the rice (and how well cooked it is… as it felt just a touch overcooked and not enough care went into it) + slightly more finesse on the egg + more cucumber as there either needed more acidity or freshness to balance the dish
Interior is reminiscent of british/malay colonial times so it’s a fun spot to go to
