Wow, this barbecue spot holds a close place in my heart because my friends and I would come here all the time after golfing. It’s sweet; it’s got this tanginess to it, but deliciously savory. It’s not candy sweet—not overly seasoned either. You love that this ginger cuts through all the fat inside of the duck.
$18 for rice with three meats. Usually, the large is $12 for two meats. Roast Paradise in Singapore still has my favourite char siu, but if I’m looking for an overall plate, this one’s better - like all the different kinds of meats, because some of the other meats let me down at Roast Paradise. You can’t get better than this!
I think the Roast Pork is number one, second is the char siu, and the third is the duck.
What a spectacular establishment. I like this place a lot—humble, humble, yeah super humble. It’s just like you walk in, you get your food, and you leave. It’s not like a dining experience, but only about the food.
It’s easily the best plate of Hong Kong-style barbecue that I can get in Canada.
In conclusion, if you’re in the mood for a satisfying BBQ meal, this spot should be at the top of your list. The roast pork, in particular, is a must-try, with its perfectly balanced seasoning and savory flavor. The duck and char siu are also excellent choices, making this spot a well-rounded option for any BBQ enthusiast.
You won’t be disappointed by the flavours and the experience it offers. The combination of great food, good value, and fond memories makes it a standout choice for any HK BBQ lover.
