Comments:
Cute little restaurant by our rental. The wicker chairs and the hustle-bustle in such a tiny space drew us in.
After being turned away the night before (we were too late), we ordered a broad range - starting with panko halloumi and beef tartare to their fresh linguine and chicken, we were starving after exploring Paris.
Dessert was the highly anticipated event - how did crème brûlée in Toronto and Montreal stack up to their Parisienne cousin? Le Chardon’s buckwheat crème brûlée was interesting to say the least. Should have started off the a standard version, but was delightful - top layer scattered easily to reveal the creamy custard.
There’s something so clean yet delightful in French cooking. Was a wonderful way to begin our adventure.
