@Matcha
Verdict: Walk
Such a quaint and friendly spot to find a quiet moment away from the world - no laptops and no wifi on certain days of the week. A must try experience in the plateau.
Item: Matcha drinks
Cost: ~$5-10 depending on the drink
Comments:
The owner, Nestor, is one of the most fun people I’ve met in Montreal. His energy and love for matcha is contagious. It’s obvious how passionate he is about matcha, tea in general, and his customers. Amazing asset to the community
He’s created this zen oasis away just steps from bustling St. Laurent & St. Denis streets
Roll a dice at the counter and try a sample of the drink the number is associated with. Each drink available (see hanging profiles) is a special concoction that can include your traditional green matcha all the way to white matcha! The mixtures are sold by the glass bottle that you can pour into tea cups on location, or take out. If these drinks aren’t your thing, Nestor has a large range of teas to choose from
Everything is vegan friendly and sustainable too - with a small deposit, you can take your drink away in a glass bottle. You’ll get your money back when you return the bottle
It was an incredibly hard choice, but ended up selecting the butter almond brew with hints of pineapple, vanilla, dates, and white matcha
