Maximo

Wagyu steak

Verdict: Run

Maximo has 2 things that I absolutely adored. A Mexican orange wine and their beet salad - those items alone make me run back. In fact, I did go twice within a week!

Comments:

  • Maximo was easily a top 3 favourite eats spot in Mexico City, above Pujol and a plethora of others that didn’t even make the blog in Condesa and Roma Norte

  • I had a Mexican orange wine from the north and I have to say it was pretty wow for me - juicy, funky - just how I like it

  • I also would have never thought that a veggie dish would be my favourite thing but long behold, the beet salad with goat’s cheese was just my absolute fav that I had to come back here twice during my month long trip to MX

  • Everything is done with finesse but I’d say about 50% of the dishes were definitely a cut above the rest

  • The fried chicken, brussell sprouts, pork, pasta did not really impress me

  • The wagyu beef, sea bass, and beet salad really impressed me
