Phnom Penh

Egg noodles

A very hyped up place in Chinatown where you can sample cuisines of south-east Asia. The wings are pretty good but the beef carpaccio is the true winner.

Comments:

  • Every single person we talked to about what to eat in Vancouver mentioned Phnom Penh - a friend of ours beelines over here as soon as his flight touches down, every time

  • Every table had some variation of the following orders: chicken wings, carpaccio, and egg noodle or the luc lac rice. It’s clear what the winners on the menu are

  • Celine’s fav was hands down the chicken wings. We need to learn how to make these for when the craving hits

  • Jeremy’s favourite was the Butter Carpaccio - the crunchy bits made his eyes go WIDE

  • They gave some soup for the table that came with the dishes. Beautiful clear soup that was homey feeling

  • We’d definitely go back whenever we’re in town, but it didn’t quite live up to our expectations - maybe one too many food videos during our research…
