Comments:

  • Our first visit to an Anthracite coffee shop was at their Tsupo location, discovered by Jeremy via Google Maps, notable for its striking aesthetic blend of a zen garden set against modern concrete architecture.

  • The interior presented a stark minimalism, a deliberate contrast to the lush greenery outside, emphasizing a no-frills yet masterful approach to coffee craftsmanship.

  • Anthracite's passion for coffee was evident in their meticulous selection, offering everything from single-origin beans to unique house blends.

Got 2 coffees (slow drip ones) for a nice sit in at the cafe with a view of the garden

  • The experience included observing the precision of their brewing processes, adding a dynamic aspect to our visit.

  • A modest but curated selection of desserts was available, including melon and cakes from a partner bakery, complementing the coffee experience.

  • We sampled their pre-blended coffee, available in convenient single-serve instant filter packets, contemplating the purchase of a 12-pack or a 6-pack priced at ~$12.

  • Ultimately, we opted for a bag of their coffee, enticed by the offer of a complimentary coffee with purchase, affirming the quality and ambiance of Anthracite.

The positive experience at Anthracite in Seogyo led us to seek out another of their locations (i.e. Itaewon), reinforcing our trust in their consistent quality and atmosphere.

They gifted us a free coffee to go (because we bought a bag of beans)
