Chocolate slab inside vanilla ice cream, enrobed by more chocolate & wafer

  • Fantastic VFM (value for money) snack.

  • When researching what we needed to eat in Tokyo, the Chocolate Monaka Jumbo was touted as the best ice cream in Tokyo. Think re-constructed chocolate-dipped vanilla ice cream cone. Yum.

  • The Chocolate Monaka Jumbo is made of vanilla ice cream surrounded by a wafer cone which doesn’t get soggy because of the thin chocolate layer. Genius. Then, to get the extra crunchy factor, there’s a thin slab of chocolate in the middle of the ice cream. The snap of the chocolate is proof that its been tempered to perfection.

    • check the expiration dates (duh) - getting a bar with stale wafer just ruins this glorious snack

  • Available in both grocery and convenience stores so whenever a craving hits, step in and grab one of these.
