KOMA

Entrance to restaurant, looks to be inspired by Fushimi Inari shrine in Kyoto

Verdict: Walk

I might come back here if I was trying to impress some people from out of town with a cool interior and great picture taking areas (the entrance is gorgeous) but I would prob have 2 dinners; just some apps or nice dishes here and fill up elsewhere.

Comments:

  • Food was decently good - some interesting dishes where the presentation was different but flavour-wise it was mostly just classic (not a ton of pushing the boundaries in this dept)

  • Felt like the service was a touch lacklustre; forgetting to circle back on something or some dis-organization

  • My favourite dish was the black cod - that one was prepared extremely well, and maybe the salmon pillows were the 2nd best thing… everything else was quite forgettable, especially any of the maki rolls
