Comments:

  • A must-visit to see & eat traditional nyonya food! AND they’ve been highlighted on the Michelin Guide 2024.

  • We thought we were in the wrong place at first because you have to walk through their kitchen before getting to the eating area - very different than the usual experience where cooking areas are always hidden & out of sight.

  • Inside is all hustle-bustle. Eaters having lively conversations, staff rushing back and forth, people going up and down the stairs to find an available table.

  • You get a menu, pencil & piece of paper to write down your order. Big selection of savoury & sweet.

  • Couldn’t help but eat the menu. Easily ordered 4 main dishes, 3 drinks, and 12 kinds of kuih.

  • The nasi lemak and roti jala are must-trys in terms of savoury dishes. Personally didn’t enjoy the nasi ulam. I don’t think we’re used to the dry rice and ingredient textures.

  • Our favourite kuihs were the ones with pandan and coconut (kuih talam.

  • Absolutely loved the white coffee. Even though I was initially skeptical about the idea of margarine in my coffee, it was such a smooth, full, beautiful roast.

  • We’ll definitely be back and ready for round 2.

Roti jala set - rolled up lattice roti with a small bowl of chicken curry

Well deserved Michelin Guide designation
