Comments:
Dare I say it? Rufous Coffee Roasters has the best coffee we’ve had so far in Taiwan and one of the best desserts we’ve had in Asia?! Yes, you’ve read correctly.
It’s clear that we’re in a serious shop just by watching the coffee masters meticulously swirl each brew. Not to mention that the specialized equipment extracting the flavours at a controlled temperature made me feel like I was back in the lab (but in a good way).
We appreciate how they identified their menu based on light, medium-light, and medium brews. We tried a medium-light & medium option, respectively:
The Jaramillo from Panama, which was a Washed Geisha. Was super excited for the notes of bergamot, apricot, jasmine, and honey. Clear winner for both of us - it took our mouths on a rollercoaster journey. Highly recommend, but to be finished before having the apple pie.
Colombian Amigos which was a Double fermented Washed blend with notes of red apple, citrus, sucrose, and black chocolate. This coffee could stand up to the apple pie - great combo.
Now, let’s talk about this apple pie - you have to try this. Every component sung in such harmony to create a bite that was creamy, full, light, sweet, textured, and rounded. The only way to do it is to get a forkful that has a little bit of everything. I want more.
Thank you @taipeitravels for this recommendation, we’d happily come again.
