Comments:
Tsukiji Market, once the bustling hub of Tokyo's seafood trade, has now transformed largely into a tourist attraction. While the famous tuna auctions, which drew countless visitors every morning, have moved to the new Toyosu Market since October 2018, Tsukiji still retains its charm.
The outer market remains a vibrant area where tourists can explore a variety of shops and restaurants offering fresh seafood and other culinary delights. There is a ton of variety; you will be full after a long day at the market sampling all different kinds of things!
Most of the food is ‘good’ by any standard (as in nothing was bad or horrible), however we don’t think that the top foods exist here. It’s a volume for the vendors.
We would still go back and spend 1-2 hours if we were close by, but much prefer the other fish markets in other cities
