Pork Katsudon with trio of pickled vegetables & miso soup

• Quaint restaurant with limited space. Expect a line-up during lunch and dinner rush times

• Lured in by the soba, the Tamato ji - chicken & egg hot soup noodles with wild plants & seaweed - was heartwarming with perfectly textured noodles. Sad that the chicken flavour didn’t come through

• The aroma from the pork katsudon can only be described as mouth-watering. A great mouthful when you get the crunchy katsu, creamy egg, and soft rice

• Miso soup was a touch saltier than preferred, but overall, a satisfactory dependable meal.

• Right across the street from Gora Park, popular tourist spot

• Keep an eye on their operating hours - majority of Hakone close shop early in the night

• Credit card accepted, despite some reviews saying cash only
