Verdict: Walk

Chic peruvian on King W. Some dishes were under seasoned and some over seasoned = inconsistent experience which takes the rating down a bit.

Whole chicken

Comments:

  • The beef heart skewer was my favourite thing on the menu (braised and char grilled), seconded by the tuna tostada

  • Most popular thing I saw pretty much every table order was the short rib skewer - also worth trying

  • We discovered a brand new beer called Inedit Damm (premium malt and wheat beer from Barcelona) which we ended up crushing like 6 each; it kind of reminds me of Loirette beer’s distant cousin

  • The chicken was pretty good - flavourful and tender; apparently cooked for 24h in a soy sauce marinade and basted 2x during the grilling, but I am sort of skeptical of how long it takes to cook it unless it was sous-vide

  • I did really enjoy the vibe and they went from playing soft background music to bumping Drake as it neared closing

  • Service pretty top notch; come here and order a bunch of the skewers and apps

  • Sitting at the bar is no consolation prize - it’s fun and I was surprised it was so busy on a Tuesday; I might try to get the chef’s table next time
