Tiny's Cafe is a very unassuming spot near the Wampoa area on Balestier Rd and is very much accurate in talking about the storefront. Very small space. There's really only a spot to eat inside and then a couple tables that they set out outside.
We were reading some reviews and we were just in search of a good banh mi and I think we actually found one of our favourites down in the area.
The banh mi had a fluffy inside but crunchy outside. The grilled pork was flavoured to perfection. The sauces, ingredients - everything was in harmony.
You also got the crunch of all the different pickled vegetables and very, very fresh cilantro and green onions.
We also got the grilled pork plate and they were so kind because even though they had run out for the day, they offered to prepare some fresh meat for us.
The noodles were the perfect texture. The meat was seasoned so well. When you add in all the toppings with the fish sauce, the peanuts and the shallots, it was just a great combination.
