Vintage Conservatory
Verdict: Walk
Wine cellar (BYOB) where you need a membership to access it thus it is not available to the general public. Food is awesome here but exclusive access may be hard to get.
Type: Wine Storage Private Club
Location: Toronto, ON
Item: Charcuterie, Crab Cakes, Cod Sliders, Pastas, Steak
Cost: Quite reasonable - about $75pp for 6 of us where we were all stuffed
Comments:
What’s super unique and cool about this place is that you need a membership to get in
You store your own wine in the cellars so get to enjoy the wines without a premium
The food is actually quite tasty and decently priced, so you’re going to have a good time without breaking the bank; I noticed that the cheese and cured meats were from the St. Lawrence market, so it’s all high quality stuff
I like how you can effectively run your own wine tasting (i.e. unlimited decanters, wine glasses) at your own pace and you can even drink whatever else you want as well
If you have a membership, it is worth coming at least 1-2x a month with a small group of friends to get your value for money - this is what bumps up the score
For food, the whole menu is pretty good but particularly I love the mushroom pasta, the red sauce seashell pasta and the best of the best for me was the cod sliders… * chef’s kiss *
